Putting locally grown produce on every table.

Fresh produce should not be a luxury, but families often cannot afford fresh, locally grown produce. Emergency Foodshelf Network’s Harvest for the Hungry program purchases produce from Minnesota and Western Wisconsin farmers, donating the fruit and vegetables to our network of food shelves, on-site meal programs, and hunger relief agencies free of charge.

  • Launched in 2008, the partnership brings together community-supported agriculture (CSA) farmers, CSA members and local donors.
  • In 2012, we delivered over 105,000 pounds of fresh local produce, helping us meet our goal of increasing access to healthy, locally grown foods.
  • Provides a secondary market to farmers, helping strengthen local agricultural endeavors.
  • Generous support provided by The Wedge, Finnegans, Black Forest Inn and Green Mill Restaurant.
