Hunger manifests itself in many ways other than starvation and famine. Most poor people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness.

Guidelines for Volunteering

Below are the current guidlines for volunteering at EFN:

1. All volunteers must fill out an application and sign a waiver

2. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old

3. Groups of all sizes are welcome to volunteer, but groups consisting of youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by chaperones.  We request that there is one chaperone for every 7 youth.

4. To schedule a volunteer event, contact EFN at least two weeks ahead of time
